Michael Wayne has been represented by Gallery Soco since 2006, where he is one of the most collected artists at the gallery. Working in mixed media on silk, Wayne exploits the porous quality of the material, allowing vibrant hues of paint to bleed into and across the fabric.
Michael Wayne grew up in Houston and currently resides in San Antonio, Texas. He studied at the Art Institute of Houston and his work has been exhibited across the United States in Texas, Florida and New York, and also in Belgium.
Wayne's paintings are held in private collections in Austin, Houston, Dallas, San Antonio, New York, Washington, DC, California, Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Louisiana, Mississippi, New Mexico, Rhode Island, and Washington State, as well as in Belgium, France, Italy, and Russia.
